Auctioneers/Owners Mark Thibodeau SCAL#4222
and Steve Allen SCAL#4236 (both originally from
Maine) bring nearly 20 years experience in estate
sales to the auction, with specific expertise in
antique prints and antiques. Their successful retail
shop experience gives them an important
understanding of the needs of both retail patrons
and dealer clients. They completely understand the
sometimes complex needs of those left with the
responsibility of handling an estate, and do
everything they can to make that process thorough,
seamless and stress-free. They insist that both
buying and selling at auction be an experience that
is based on integrity and clear disclosure. Customer
satisfaction is always their primary goal.
Kelly Dykes is our appraiser. (His business card
reads Llewellyn M. Dykes, Master Appraiser, MPPA,
CES, but we all know him as "Kelly.") He is the
celebrated personal property appraiser who in the
last two years alone has discovered and sent to
auction 8.8 million dollars of previously
misidentified or under-valued art. (You may have
seen him on tv, read about him in the local press, or
attended one of his popular speaking engagements.)
He brings fifteen years of intensive auction and
appraisal experience to our staff, and his
connections to national and international dealers
and European auctions bring additional marketing
muscle to DYA.
